Virtual Math Class: Week of April 6-9

Hello students!

For the next two weeks in math we are going to complete our unit on Operations with Decimals.

What have yet to do to finish this unit is to learn how to divide decimals with a whole number and how to divide decimals by another decimal.

Since we did not work on decimals for a while now, we are going to take the time to  go back and review Order of operations and the addition, subtraction and multiplication of decimals.

List of items you need to work on this unit:

A: The workbook Decimal 6B that you can download here:

[embeddoc url=”https://ourvirtualclass.edublogs.org/files/2020/04/decimal_6b_cahier_complet.pdf” download=”all” viewer=”google” ]

The answer key for the workbook will be sent by email to your parents. I will leave it to their discretion to share it with you or not.

Project on My Blue Print

The activity that I will look at and give you feedback on for this unit is a game you will create that you can play with your family using divisions of decimal and whole numbers. Please see the entry on MyBluePrint for the assignment.

The soft deadline for the project is Friday April 17th 2020 6PM.

Suggested schedule

Here’s a suggested schedule for those who need more structure. Please remember that this is a suggestion to support you in providing structure at home. We are in exceptional circonstances so schedules at home may be different from one family to another.

You may also opt for your own program by playing online games ,or watching different videos available on Our Virtual Class or by searching on YouTube. I know some of you have opted for Khan Academy or Kumon. I can also open XTRA Math accounts if you are interested. Please have this conversation with your gardians before you choose one alternative or another. It should be a decision made parent-child with recommendations by Oli if necessary.
