This week, we are completing the first part of our unit on Whole Numbers, specifically on Place Value, Operations with whole numbers (including short and long division), associative laws, commutative laws and distributive laws. Your job for Friday, October 9th is to complete your math journal. In your journal, you must:
- Add a new learning goal for this topic (now that the unit is coming towards the end…we will keep reviewing past units as the year goes on so you need to keep up to date with your personalized learning).
- 1-2 sentences about what you know
- 1-2 sentences on what you learned
- Make up a problem that proves you learned the new concept. Solve the problem. Explain your thinking with pictures or words.
- Reflection (See examples in your journal)
